Legacy of The Yellow House – Limited Edition A3 Print

Legacy of The Yellow House draws inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s iconic The Yellow House, once located at 2 Place Lamartine in Arles, France. In this reinterpretation, the spirit of that historic building is echoed through one of Glasgow’s oldest surviving structures — The Provand’s Lordship.
Built in 1471, The Provand’s Lordship stands in the heart of Glasgow’s ancient quarter, a quiet witness to centuries of change. By adopting Van Gogh’s bold yellow façades and deep blue contrasts, this piece captures both warmth and permanence — honouring the emotional power of the original while rooting it firmly in Glasgow’s architectural heritage.
The recently restored exterior of The Provand’s Lordship glows with renewed life along High Street, while the Royal Infirmary subtly appears in the composition, reinforcing the dialogue between eras. The juxtaposition of past and present — old yet revitalised — reflects the same sense of artistic legacy embodied in Van Gogh’s masterpiece.
All limited edition prints are produced in A3 size. Each print is individually numbered and hand-signed by the artist, making every piece a distinctive collector’s work.
A powerful tribute to heritage, colour, and the enduring architectural soul of Glasgow.
