About GlasGogh
I’m Mark Armstrong, the Glasgow artist behind GlasGogh, a visual art project rooted in heritage, emotion and expressive colour. GlasGogh began with a simple question: what might Glasgow have looked like through Van Gogh’s eyes? That curiosity grew into a creative experiment, blending Post‑Impressionist influence with Glasgow’s own storytelling.
I draw on place, memory and movement to create textured, immersive paintings that reimagine our buildings, our characters and our moments. What started as a handful of paintings has become an expanding collection – GlasGogh Places and Glasgogh People.
I also create one off painting that exist outwith the GlasGogh project, more to come on those!

GlasGogh brings Glasgow’s places, people and stories to life through bold colour, expressive brushwork and a playful nod to Vincent van Gogh.
Explore original oil paintings alongside high-quality fine-art prints across the GlasGogh collections, from familiar city landmarks and much-loved Scottish faces to more personal works inspired by everyday objects and local stories.
Some pieces are available as one-of-a-kind originals, while selected works can also be purchased as prints in a choice of sizes, making it easier to bring a little piece of GlasGogh into your own home.

Journey is a donated GlasGogh painting created to celebrate SCIAF’s 60 years of humanitarian work, blending Glasgow roots, community collaboration and expressive storytelling through art.
