Lewis au Bleuet reimagines Van Gogh’s Young Man with a Cornflower, painted in Auvers-sur-Oise in the final weeks of the artist’s life, through the unmistakable face and spirit of Lewis Capaldi.
Van Gogh’s original is full of movement and mischief, with wild sunlit hair and vivid colour. Here that same energy meets one of Glasgow’s most recognisable voices: joyful, slightly cheeky and entirely unguarded, the tousled flame-like hair and flower stem becoming part of the performance.
This piece celebrates Lewis Capaldi as a modern troubadour with a Glasgow heart and an international reach, self-deprecating, emotionally open and deeply loved, blending reverence with playfulness in true GlasGogh fashion.
All limited edition prints are produced in A3 size. Each print is individually numbered and hand-signed by the artist, making every piece a unique collector’s work.
A late Van Gogh character study, reborn as a celebration of modern Scottish personality.
