Dr. Kohli of Govan reimagines Van Gogh’s poignant Portrait of Dr. Gachet through the face of Sanjeev Kohli, the much-loved Glasgow actor, comedian, writer and raconteur.

Van Gogh’s portrait of his doctor and friend is tender and expressive, capturing a man of intellect and quiet melancholy. Here that reflective pose is transformed by Kohli’s unmistakable presence, thoughtfulness and mischief in equal measure, framed by rich blues and a swirling background.
