Where the Sunflowers Sleep reimagines Van Gogh’s famous bedroom through the lens of my old tenement flat in Rutherglen, G73. The strong room perspective, teal walls, yellow sunflower wallpaper and red throw bring a familiar Glasgow interior into conversation with one of the most recognisable rooms in art history. It is playful, personal and full of colour, a small domestic space transformed into a GlasGogh homage to home, memory and artistic obsession.
