GlasGogh was inspired by moments in time. A visit to The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Musee D'Orsay in Paris, and the Beyond Van Gogh exhibition, Glasgow, in the summer of 2024.

Of course, a tip of the cap to Ross Muir, and his fabulous 'jist gogh hame' and Square Gogh collection. These events all brought my attention to this misunderstood and yet brilliant impressionist artist. I picked up my brush to study his technique, picture portfolio and books on his life, learning and work.

These brush strokes soon saw me trying to paint like him, initially copying his work and then expanding into using his style on canvas. This is where the GlasGogh Collection was born.

I hope you enjoy the paintings and are maybe inspired to pick up a brush, read a book or watch some of the many documentaries on my favourite Impressionist.
